Ladderly is a group of professionals who know first hand how hard it can be to start your professional career in Canada and we want to help you
We like to think you give a little, you get a little - call us hopeless romantics
All you have to do is send us your resume and tell us a bit about yourself and we'll take care of the rest
After years of reviewing resumes and helping students and new comers reach their goals, we found these to be the most frequently asked questions
I know you don't want to hear this, but it really depends
Our rule of thumb is generally as follows - if you don't have any work experience after completing your undergraduate degree then stick to a page, but if you have a masters degree or past professional work experience, then 2 pages is a better fit for you.
We prefer no professional profiles at all as a one page resume does a better job of telling your story. BUT if you prefer to have one then a highlight of qualifications might be more powerful.
Inconsistent fonts! We can't tell you how many resumes we've seen with different fonts throughout the resume, if you are using Calibri, then stick to it!
Ladderly won't write your resume for you or provide detailed spelling and grammar checks - but we will help you craft your story and make sure your resume bullets are on point for the job you deserve! Besides, you'll learn more doing it yourself.
Yes, if you are a new grad, a professional new comer to Canada, or a future graduate student Ladderly will provides free career coaching and free resume reviews! If you are a industry professional with 3 years+ of Canadian experience, we can still help but do charge a nominal fee to keep our services free for others!
